📖"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand."
Matthew 12:25

They didn’t have to lift a finger against us. All they had to do was make us turn on each other.
While we were busy defending our corners, proving each other wrong, they stood untouched — the ones truly holding the power. Pride did their work for them. Rumours lit the match. Ego fed the flame. And before we knew it, we were standing in the ruins of what could’ve been unity.
It’s heartbreaking how quickly we forget who the real enemy is when our attention is hijacked by offence and our hearts are hardened by misunderstanding. We were created for connection — not conflict. But they whispered lies into the spaces between us, turned differences into weapons, and quietly stepped back as we did their work for them.
📖 "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand." — Matthew 12:25 (NKJV)
The truth?🤔 Unity terrifies them. Because when we stop pointing fingers at each other and start asking, "Who gains from our division?🤔", the fog lifts. When we link arms instead of drawing lines, their schemes fall apart. Their control depends on our confusion. Their power thrives in our disconnection.
But we are wiser now. We see the game for what it is. And we’re choosing a better way — truth over noise, reconciliation over retaliation, and courage over convenience.
We were never meant to be enemies. We were always meant to be a family.

Reflection:
Think of a time when conflict or misunderstanding caused distance between you and someone you care about.
Who or what benefited from that division? 🤔
Was pride, fear, or outside influence fuelling the disconnection? 🤔
What would it look like to seek peace and clarity, not blame? 🤔
Ask Holy Spirit to reveal any place in your life where healing and unity are being delayed by misplaced focus or old wounds. Let Him guide you into truth.
Keep seeking truth, beloved. You were born to walk in the light, not in confusion. And you were never meant to fight this battle alone.

Life Application:

Affirmation:
Creative Prompt:
In your journal or sketchbook, create a visual reflection titled “The Real Enemy”. Use divided lines or contrasting colours on one half of the page to represent misunderstanding, and soft blending or interwoven patterns on the other to illustrate unity. In the centre, write the question: “Who benefits from our division?” 🤔
Let this piece become a visual prayer, a reclaiming of clarity, compassion, and collective strength.

Closing Prayer:
Father God,
Thank You for being the God of unity, not confusion. Forgive me for the times I’ve let offence, pride, or fear cloud my vision and create distance from others. Open my eyes to the schemes that seek to divide us and help me to respond with grace and truth.
I invite You, Holy Spirit, into every strained relationship, every misunderstood word, every wound that still aches. Heal what’s been broken by lies and bring clarity where there’s been confusion. Help me choose unity over ego and compassion over conflict.
I declare that I will no longer be used as a weapon in someone else’s battle plan. I will be a peacemaker, a bridge-builder, a truth-bearer. Let love be my lens, and wisdom be my guard.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
