📖 “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:3

Loyalty has always struck me as one of those qualities that doesn’t shout, but shows. It's not performative or part-time. It doesn’t check the weather forecast before showing up. For some of us, loyalty seems stitched into the fabric of who we are. For others, it's learned — through watching, stumbling, or healing. But either way, it’s a habit that can be nurtured.
What grieves my heart sometimes is realising how many people haven’t quite grasped the essence of it. Loyalty isn’t a mood to be flicked on and off like a light switch. It’s not a trend or a vibe. It’s not some grey area where we pick and choose when to be faithful. Loyalty is black and white — you’re either in or you’re out.
It means being there when it’s inconvenient. When it’s messy. When you’re tired. When nothing’s in it for you. It means holding someone’s hand even when the rest of the world is pointing fingers. It’s about consistency, not comfort. Presence, not performance.
Rain or shine, loyalty says, I’m here. Not just when the sun’s out and the skies are clear. And oh, what a rare and beautiful thing that is.
If you are a loyal person — may you be surrounded by those who love like you do. Who stay like you stay. Who show up when it matters most.

Reflection:

Life Application:

Affirmation:
Creative Prompt:
Write a letter (even if you never send it) to someone who has shown you loyalty or to someone you’ve shown loyalty to, even when it was hard. Let your heart speak. Honour the faithfulness, or name the ache where it was missing.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the perfect example of steadfast love. You are faithful, even when we are not. Teach me to be loyal in a world that often moves too fast to notice the quiet power of consistency. Strengthen my heart to love with endurance, to show up with integrity, and to choose presence over performance. And if I grow weary in loyalty, remind me that You see every unseen act of faithfulness. Let me reflect Your unwavering love in my relationships. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
