📖 "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Galatians 6:9

There are mornings we wake up weary, not because the call has vanished, but because the cost feels heavy. When the ache of unhealed places whispers, Who do you think you are to lead, to love, to shine? 🤔 And yet… the fire still flickers within. A Holy invitation remains.
Beloved, this is where your why becomes a weapon. Not a weapon to wound, but to war for hope. For hearts. For the ones still hiding in their pain. The ones you were born to reach.
Your why is rooted in eternity. It is not about platforms or applause. It is about presence — yours, offered with compassion, courage, and creative faithfulness. It is about showing up when it would be easier to shrink back. It is about getting out of your own way past the fear, the fatigue, the perfectionism and letting Holy Spirit breathe through your surrendered yes.
You are needed. Not a polished version of you, but the real, messy, healing, honest you. The one who has been through fire and come out holding water for the thirsty. You don't need to be everything to everyone. Just faithful to the One who called you and faithful to those He's placed in your path.
📖 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
A Personal Confession from the Journey…
The truth is, sometimes when I’m home and finally still — with something warm in my hands or music soft in the background — I don’t feel like going out again at night. Whether it’s to host an Encounter Group or a paint party, there are moments I feel I have nothing left to give.
But then, Holy Spirit gently reminds me: Be faithful in the little. Remember why you started.
So I go.
Sometimes reluctantly. Sometimes barefoot and prayerful. Sometimes with my hands still smudged in paint or dishes undone. But I go because someone might be waiting. Maybe not for me, but for the presence I carry. For the peace He brings when we say yes again.
And oh, how often… those times become the most powerful ones. Tears fall freely. Walls come down. Silence gives way to songs. Healing unfolds in holy hushes and bursts of laughter.
Not because I was at my best but because I was simply present.

🖼️ How this Painting Completes this Devotion:
"Crown & Crucifixion: The Hill of Redemption" radiates the cost and beauty of showing up. The bruised tones crowned by golden redemption echo the truth that some of the most sacred spaces are born not in ease, but in obedience. Even Jesus walked uphill, carrying the weight of His why — for love.

Reflection:
Let Holy Spirit speak as you reflect on this:
Where has your light gone dim, and what does it need to burn brighter again? 🤔
What part of you needs to get out of the way so you can show up more freely? 🤔
Who is waiting for the light you carry — even if they don’t know it yet? 🤔
You might finish with a short letter or blessing:
“Dear one who needs me to show up, here is what I want you to know…”

Life Application:

Affirmation:
Creative Prompt:
Light the Way
Gather a candle, a small mirror, and a piece of broken pottery or a feather (or draw them if you don’t have them on hand). Arrange them in front of you like a sacred still life.
Has there been a time when you said yes, even when it was hard and saw God move in a way that surprised you? 🤔 Write about it. Then ask:
“Lord, what does faithfulness look like for me tonight?” 🤔
What part of your “why” still flickers in you, even on your hardest days? 🤔
Write freely or paint from that place — not for perfection, but as an offering.

Closing Prayer:
Father, stir within me the courage to show up even when I feel small. Help me remember that it’s not about my strength but Your Spirit. Teach me to trust the fire You’ve placed in my heart. Let my life reflect Your light and truth — not for my glory, but Yours.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
