📖 "For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
1 Corinthians 6:20

A steak can be $7 from a butcher, $10 at a supermarket, $25 at a diner, and $150 at a high-end restaurant. Same steak. The only thing that changed was the location.
Sometimes, we feel “cheap” because we’ve been in rooms where our gifts weren’t recognised, our hearts weren’t cherished, or our voice wasn’t valued. That doesn’t mean we’ve lost value; it may simply mean we’ve been in the wrong place to be seen for who we truly are.
📖 "For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." — 1 Corinthians 6:20 (NKJV)
In the original Greek, the word for “price” is timēs (τιμῆς) — meaning value, honour, and worthiness. This isn’t a price tag someone else sets; it is the value determined by the One who created you and redeemed you. And your purchase was sealed not with silver or gold, but with the very lifeblood of Jesus.
No opinion, environment, or human standard can lower that worth. It is unshakable, eternal, and heaven-decreed.
If you are feeling overlooked or undervalued, perhaps it’s time to ask the Lord where He wants to place you — somewhere your God-given value will be honoured, your presence will be life-giving, and your calling will flourish. Sometimes the wrong room is just the wrong season. God will lead you into the place where your worth is not questioned, but celebrated.

🖼️ How this Image Completes this Devotion:
Skyward Bloom's blossoms stretch heavenward against the weight of gravity — a reminder that our worth comes from above, not from the soil we stand in. Even if the ground feels rocky or the garden feels unwelcoming, the flower still blooms towards the One who gave it life.

Reflection:
Have I ever allowed someone’s inability to see my worth to redefine how I see myself? 🤔
Am I currently in a place, role, or relationship where my God-given value is diminished rather than honoured? 🤔
How does knowing I was bought at a price change the way I approach my future decisions and relationships? 🤔

Life Application:

Affirmation:
Beloved, your worth is not up for negotiation. Heaven’s receipt for you was written in the ink of Christ’s blood. That value will never change.
Creative Prompt:
Create a visual or written piece called “Where I Bloom Best”. Use colours, textures, or words that represent the environments where you feel most seen and valued. Include symbols of the places where you’ve outgrown, marking them as stepping stones rather than prisons.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for reminding me that my worth is not determined by the room I’m in, but by the price You paid. Where I’ve allowed rejection or neglect to diminish my sense of value, restore the truth of who I am in You. Lead me to the places where I will flourish, bless others, and glorify Your name. Help me trust that You will open the right doors at the right time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
