Beauty in the Breaking
Devotional Collection

A 7-Week Devotional Journey for the Creative Soul
There are times in life when everything seems to fall apart — slowly, quietly, or all at once. The roles we held, the dreams we clung to, even the parts of ourselves we thought were unshakable — they begin to loosen, and we’re left standing in the rubble, wondering what now.
I have been there — having spent my life clinging to a rope so frayed and slippery, it felt like someone greased it just for fun. If you're holding this book, perhaps you’ve been there too, or maybe you’re there right now.
📖"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
This collection of devotions was birthed in those very moments — in the undoing and the unravelling, the stillness and the surrender. It is for the weary soul and the quietly courageous heart. For the artist who has forgotten her spark. For the woman trying to be strong for everyone. For the seeker standing at a door, uncertain of what lies on the other side.
📖"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." — Isaiah 40:29
It’s for you.
Each word here was written not to give you answers, but to hold space for your questions. To remind you that even in the breaking, you are not alone. God is here. And He is still creating beauty, even from the pieces.
📖"He has made everything beautiful in its time." — Ecclesiastes 3:11
I’ve paired each devotion with a gentle prompt and, where possible, with artwork from my own journey — paintings born from both deep rest and deep wrestling. These aren’t perfect words or flawless images. But they are honest. And that’s where healing begins.
📖"We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." — 2 Corinthians 4:7
This is my offering. My prayer is that it becomes a companion on your path, reminding you again and again that the breaking isn’t the end of the story — it’s the beginning of something sacred.
Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted.
📖"He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." — Isaiah 61:1
He did that for me, and I know He will do it for you too, if only you'd invite Him into those hidden, wounded areas of your heart.
As He did for me, I pray that He will do it again for you.
With grace,
Patrizia a.k.a. Trixi
