For too long, I found myself unable to ask for help, trapped by an inner vow not to seek assistance, the profound shame associated with my issues, and the deep-seated fear of rejection and abandonment if people truly saw the real me. This often manifests as wearing the "I'm fine!" mask, pretending all is well even when, deep down, we are falling apart. I have lived there and mastered that façade for most of my life.
