This painting is more than pixels and colour. It’s a personal testimony.

Free to Dance was born from a place in my life where I was stuck — not in a physical cage, but in a mental and spiritual one. I lived torn between two deep fears: fear of success and fear of failure. One whispered, “Who are you to dream so big?” The other hissed, “What if you try and it all falls apart?”

So I stayed still. Caged. Comfortable, but slowly suffocating.

But God… in His mercy and love, began to break those bars. Through Scripture, through worship, through tears and truth — I began to see myself not as someone who had to earn freedom, but as someone already set free. Not by effort, but by grace.

This piece captures that moment:

The lion — fierce and protective — is the Lion of Judah, roaring on my behalf.

The eagle — strong and rising — is the Spirit, lifting me out.

And the girl? That’s me. Arms lifted, eyes bright, stepping into joy. No longer silent. No longer small. Free to dance.

Inspired by Psalm 30:11–12, this painting is for anyone who has ever wrestled with the weight of “too much” and “not enough.”

It’s a prophetic declaration: you are not stuck. You were made to move, to sing, to live with joy.
