Because love is the real destination

They say life is about the journey. Others say it’s about the destination, but I’ve come to see — it’s really about the company. The sacred, imperfect, life-giving company we keep.


If you asked me what the most beautiful part of my life is, I wouldn’t name a place, a title, or even a moment. I would simply look around at the ones God has entrusted to me — those I get to love and walk with, stumble beside, laugh with, cry for, and grow alongside. This right here — this is it.


Not the accolades, not the goals achieved, but the arms I come home to. The hands I get to hold. The souls I get to serve. It’s the joy in shared laughter, the tears in quiet prayers, the healing found in honesty, and the grace to keep choosing one another even when life is messy.


Clive and I have always been about the people. It’s wired into our DNA. Sometimes, though, we’ve given from the wrong place — pouring out when we ourselves were running dry. We’ve given from empty cups rather than from the overflow.


Still, generosity is part of who we are. Not for applause or recognition, but because it’s how we love. It’s how we reflect the heart of Jesus.


My biggest dream? To one day have enough to give without measure. No hesitation. No lack. Just open hands and a full heart.


For the past three years, I’ve been sowing what I have — financially and physically — into healing hearts. Whether it’s supplying encounter group workbooks or quietly covering someone’s Elijah House school fees, this has been my quiet yes to the call of Isaiah 61.

That’s where I see the fingerprints of heaven — in the embrace of community, in the gift of belonging, in the courage to show up as ourselves and be received in love.


So if today your path feels uncertain or your heart aches with longing, pause. Look around. Maybe the most beautiful part of your journey isn’t far off or still to come. Maybe it’s already here — in the hearts you're holding, in the stories you’re living together, in the love you give and receive.


This is holy ground. This is the treasure. This is home.
