📖“Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.”
Genesis 12:1

When God leads us beyond the familiar, there's a sacred ache in leaving what is known. Whether it's a role, a rhythm, or a version of yourself. You're stepping into a space where you cannot yet see the whole picture.
But like Abraham, you are not being sent alone. You are being led.
God often asks us to release the familiar before revealing what's next. It's not cruelty, it's formation. Letting go shapes us for what's to come.
Leaving doesn't mean you're lost. It means you're following.
I still remember the silence of that early morning, not the peaceful kind, but the heavy hush that settles when a chapter has ended, and you haven't yet turned the page. I was sitting on the edge of the bed, suitcase half-zipped, heart fully undone. The role I had poured myself into, the relationships I had nurtured, even the routines that once felt like a second skin — all of it was being left behind. Not because I wanted to. Not entirely. But because I was being led.
It felt like standing at the edge of a vast and silent sea, unsure if the next step would be onto solid ground or straight into the deep. I couldn't see what was next. All I knew was that I wasn't meant to stay.
In that quiet, Abraham came to mind — not as a towering patriarch, but as a man who heard God say, 📖 “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you” — Genesis 12:1, NIV. There's no map. There is no clear timeframe, just a voice and a promise.
And I realised then, this wasn't just about leaving. It was about being shaped.
God often invites us into mystery before clarity. Not to confuse us but to form us. He stretches our faith not to break it but to deepen it — to till the soil of our hearts so we can carry the weight of what's next.
There is, indeed, a sacred ache in leaving what is known. Whether it's a home, a calling, or a version of ourselves we've long outgrown, something in us resists the release. But maybe that's because we forget that God doesn't call us out to abandon us — He calls us deeper in.
📖 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” — Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
It wasn't until weeks later, with tears still fresh on my pillow and the unfamiliar starting to settle around me like a new coat, that I began to glimpse the grace in it all. I wasn't lost — I was following. And there's a profound difference in that. I was learning to trust not in the destination but in the One who walks with me through the unknown.
📖 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” — Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
So if you find yourself in that tender in-between — holding memories in one hand and an uncertain future in the other — know this: you are not walking away. You are being led forward. Not abandoned but called. Not displaced but positioned.
Letting go is holy ground, and He walks with you every step of the way.

“Faith on the Ascend” captures the liminal space of transition — a visual embodiment of what it means to stand between what has been and what is yet to come. With its textured layers and soft, emerging light, the artwork mirrors the emotional tension of letting go, while pointing toward hope. There is movement and stillness interwoven — just like the heart that is being led through uncertainty by a faithful God. It serves as a gentle but powerful reminder: we are never leaving alone; we are being lovingly led.
