There are places in history where everything shifts. Where a single moment becomes a turning point so significant that time itself is divided by it. Golgotha was one of those places. "Where Mercy Met the Ground" takes you there — not to dwell in sorrow, but to stand in quiet awe of what was accomplished on that hill.

Three crosses mark the summit of a rugged, ancient rise. The earth beneath them is rich and dark, warm with the weight of all that has been laid down. A vast, swirling sky opens wide above — blue and expansive, alive with movement — as if creation itself is holding its breath. And scattered across the hillside, small bright shoots of green press up through the soil. Life, quietly and defiantly insisting on itself.

This is the Gospel made visible: the cost of love and the promise of resurrection held together in a single, honest frame.

Painted in acrylics on A3 watercolour paper, "Where Mercy Met the Ground" is rendered with textured, expressive brushwork that gives the landscape a raw, earthy quality. It doesn't soften the scene — it honours it. This painting is for those who know what the cross means. It's also for those who are still finding their way to that understanding.

It would sit with quiet authority in a private home, a place of prayer or contemplation, a chaplaincy, or an executive space where meaning matters as much as aesthetics.

📖 "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
