Get Back On!

Ride with Me!

I took the boys to Mooikrans for a week-long horse camp and chose to stay over instead of making the two-hour trip back home alone, only to return for them at the end of their camp.

As a little girl, we had a horse named Blacky who threw me off one morning because Dad dared wake him up early. That experience left me petrified of horses for many years. However, one of the other homeschool moms during this time inspired me to conquer my fears and get back in the saddle.

This was my first time riding a horse in nearly 40 years, and it felt like a significant step towards embracing new possibilities.

In March, I was listening to Sandra's corporate prayer from the Identity & Destiny Teaching series whilst driving to New Lynn when she released this word that struck a chord for me:

"And this was kind of an odd one, but I feel like someone here was thrown from a horse when you were little when you were smaller. Maybe not really little, but that there was something to do with a horse that really scared you. I don't know. Is that anyone here?

And this is really interesting, but I felt like the Lord was saying it's a destiny thing. And that you have been called to ride with Him. You know, there's an old song, Will You Ride? Will You Stand With Me? Will You Rise Up and Fight? And it's, yes, Lord, I'll go with you. Yes, I'll stand up and fight. And I feel like the Lord is, as He releases this word, that He's lifting that fear that entered your heart when you were thrown from that horse.

And He's calling you to ride with Him. That He's calling you to ride with Him. And I have this picture, even as we're talking, of the Lord riding in this field of flowers. And you're there and He reaches down and picks you up full stride and just puts you on the saddle behind Him.

And He's saying, You can trust Me. You don't have to be afraid anymore. So just receive that in your spirit."

What always amases me, is how in the economy of God, He speaks to people even years later through recorded messages.
