Heaven Breaks Through

A Testimony of Deliverance and Restoration

It was a Sunday evening service at The Lighthouse Christian Centre, in Parow and we had a guest speaker visiting from America — Pastor Mike Berry. I hadn’t expected anything particularly out of the ordinary, but God had something planned that would leave an imprint on my heart forever.

I remember wearing a blue and white dress that evening, sitting toward the back — just quietly present. After the message, Pastor Mike paused, looked across the room, and pointed directly at me. “The lady in the back with the blue and white dress,” he said. Then he began to speak what I now know was a word straight from the heart of God.

“There’s been a war in your house, a tremendous war.

At times it’s been extremely violent. I

t’s not just flesh and blood — it’s principalities and powers warring against you.

You’ve cried out: ‘God, give deliverance! God, give deliverance!’

And it felt like heaven was silent.

You even doubted if God was listening.

But heaven is breaking through. Right now.

What God has promised you in those quiet prayer times, in moments of worship, in tears that only He saw — He will fulfil.

He will set your household free.

He will break that spirit that’s hovered over your home and He will do something deep — turning the hearts of the sons to their fathers and the fathers to their sons.

He will remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

I wept. Not just from emotion—but from deep recognition. It was as if God was unveiling the hidden battle I had lived through… the silent desperation, the sense of isolation, the longing for peace in a place that so often felt like a battlefield.

Yet in that moment, I felt seen. Not by a man—but by my Heavenly Father. I hadn’t imagined He was paying attention. But He was. Every whispered prayer, every moment of weary worship, every tear that had fallen into my pillow—He had collected them all.

And His word to me that night? 🤔Heaven is breaking through.

✨ Reflection
  • What strongholds have lingered over your home or your heart?

  • Have you ever felt like God wasn’t listening? 🤔

Take heart, dear one. Sometimes, silence is not absence — it’s preparation and when God breaks through, it changes everything.
