Oh, how this image speaks straight to the soul — the tender truth of seeing ourselves through heaven’s eyes rather than through the lens of our own insecurities.

“There may be times in your life where you feel like the ordinary house cat…”Isn’t that just how it feels some days? Small. Insignificant. Overlooked. To be quite honest, after all of last week's blunders, I feel a little less even than a house cat. There’s a weight on my chest I can't describe 😫 and "die trane lê vlak".
There's an ache in my words, that tender weight pressing down, making it hard to breathe, to lift your head, even to pray. "Die trane lê vlak” — such a raw and honest expression. Tears uncried, sitting just beneath the surface like a tremor waiting to release. That heavy place?🤔 It’s not foreign to God. It’s the very place where He meets us most intimately.
We see ourselves through the lens of past failures or whispered lies that tell us we're not enough, but when the Holy Spirit holds up the mirror, it doesn’t reflect our weakness — it reveals our identity.
Can I gently remind you of something? 🤔
Even when you feel less than a house cat, you are still held by the Lion. Even in your blunders, you are still beloved. Even with that unshakable heaviness, we are still His masterpiece in progress.
📖 “A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.” — Isaiah 42:3 (NKJV)
You are not broken beyond repair — you are in the hands of the Healer. You are not failing — you are falling into grace.
Let the tears come if they need to. They are not weakness. They are water for the soil of your soul. Sometimes, the rain in our eyes is what softens the ground so that new life can take root.
Would it help to whisper this out loud? Even if only in a whisper through the tears:
“I am not what I did.
I am who He says I am.
I am not disqualified.
I am deeply loved, fully seen, and still chosen.”
You don’t have to prove anything right now. Not to yourself. Not to anyone else. Just breathe. Cry if you need to. Then let Jesus gather the pieces, gently, one by one. He’s not disappointed in you. He’s closer than ever. He’s whispering, “Come to Me…”
“…but there’s a Lion from the Tribe of Judah…”Yes, Jesus — the Lion, strong and victorious — He lives in us. His roar echoes through the valleys we thought would silence us. And the Holy Spirit, gentle and mighty, transforms us from the inside out, layer by layer, wound by wound. He is changing our reflection, from glory to glory.
📖 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
Let this be a sacred reminder: You may feel like a house cat, but you were called to carry the roar of Heaven. Your identity is not in what you’ve done — it’s in whose you are. You belong to the King, and His reflection is rising within you.
I see you, beloved. And even if all you can do today is let the tears fall and whisper “Jesus”, it’s enough. He’s not just changing your reflection from glory to glory. He’s holding the in-between moments too, especially the ones where you don’t feel like roaring.
A Prayer of Becoming
Jesus, I'm tired. Disheartened. Ashamed of how things turned out. I feel like I've let You and others down — and myself too, but You say You draw near to the broken-hearted. So here I am, broken and raw, with the tears hovering. Will You sit with me here? Not rush me. Not fix me. Just hold me while I breathe through the pain. Help me let go of the shame and remember that I am more than my worst day. Let Your truth speak louder than my inner critic. Speak life into my chest where this heaviness sits. I don’t need answers. I just need You.
Holy Spirit, Thank You for lifting the veil from my eyes. On the days I see weakness, remind me of Your strength. When I feel like I don’t measure up, show me how You’re reshaping me in the image of Christ. Let every scar become a testimony, every fear a doorway into courage. May I never settle for the lesser view when You are calling me into heavenly vision. Transform me, day by day, from glory to glory — until the reflection I see aligns with the roar You've placed inside.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Hold this close: You are being transformed. Not by striving, but by surrender. Not by pretending, but by beholding. So lift your eyes, brave soul. There’s a lion in your reflection — and His roar is your legacy.
