Everything You Ever Wanted is on the Other Side of FEAR

Face Everything and Rise

ree

Fear often feels like an impenetrable wall standing between us and the life God has promised. It whispers: "Stay small, stay hidden, while our hearts ache to step into the wide-open spaces of calling, creativity, and joy."

Yet the truth is this: fear is not simply an emotion; it is a battleground of the soul. The enemy uses fear to keep us paralysed with endless “what ifs.” What if I fail? What if I’m rejected? What if God doesn’t show up?🤔

But Scripture reminds us of a greater reality:

📖 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Two Choices: Run or Rise

At every crossroads, fear gives us two options:

  • Fear Everything and Run. This choice feels safer at first — avoiding conflict, staying silent, keeping our dreams tucked away. Yet it quietly imprisons us, leaving our souls restless and unfulfilled.

  • Face Everything and Rise. This path takes courage. It isn’t the absence of trembling, but the decision to walk forward with God in the midst of it. Like David striding toward Goliath, Esther entering the king’s court, or Peter stepping out of the boat, courage is obedience rooted in trust.

📖 “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

Walking Through the Gate

Imagine fear as a closed door. From where you stand, it looks intimidating, but once you take a step of faith, the door swings open and light pours through. On the other side, creativity blossoms, friendships deepen, and healing flows. Fear’s roar fades, and what once terrified you becomes the very testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Living “on the other side of fear” isn’t a one-time breakthrough; it’s a daily choice. Each moment we are invited to exchange our “what ifs” for “even if.” We breathe in God’s peace, speak His promises aloud, and trust that He goes before us.

💡Reflection:

Where is fear trying to hold you back today?🤔

Where is God asking you to rise instead of run?🤔

Write down one simple step you can take to move forward in faith.

🎨Creative Prompt:

Create a visual symbol of courage breaking through fear. Paint, collage, photograph, or even sketch what fear looks like to you — and then let God’s light pierce through it. Use colour, texture, and imagery to reflect His power and love, shattering anxiety.

🙌Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You that perfect love casts out fear. Forgive me for the times I’ve chosen safety over obedience. Fill me with courage to face the unknown with You by my side. Help me rise into the wide-open life You have prepared.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
